I think the hardest part about having a fashion blog is being able to have accessible style, that stands out as personal.
I think for many stylish people, you can immediately pick up the vibe they’re going for: whether it’s sporty luxe or casual country, they have their own niche. I’ve always felt like I’m a bit of everything; sort of a hybrid of Kardashian-before-Kanye glamorous, and lets-put-on-a-tshirt-and-call-it-a-day casual. Then there’s the boho style I currently covet, among many, many other inspirations.
I think personal style should evolve, though. When looking back at previous ootd posts, I am almost certain I would never again don some of those outfits.
Most, actually.
I think it depends on where you are in your life, your state of mind, the people surrounding you. It’s fascinating, really, to see how much clothes speak of a certain period in your life. Not from just what was in fashion at the time, but from how you personally translated it.
